Remove floaters and tidy a Gaussian splat
Use gentle cleanup, cropping and undo to remove distracting splats while protecting scene detail.
Understand what you are removing
Floaters are stray or stretched splats that appear away from the surfaces you intended to capture. Inconsistent observations, weak coverage and difficult materials can all contribute. Cleanup can improve presentation, but cannot restore missing geometry.
Start with gentle cleanup
Open a completed scene and choose the lighter cleanup option first. Review thin objects, leaves and edges carefully. Automatic floater cleanup is experimental and may remove real detail, particularly at stronger settings.
Crop the area you want to keep
Use a box or sphere to limit the visible scene around your subject. Inspect from several angles before committing. Rectangular selection reaches through the scene, so also check objects behind the selected area.
Use undo and preserve the original
Edits are saved as local versions while the original result is retained. Undo a change that removes important detail. Compare the cleaned result with the original from the same viewpoint.
Export the edited result
Once the important viewpoints look right, export your scene, still, video or offline page. If the result remains incomplete, a better capture is often more useful than increasingly aggressive cleanup.
